Entry Requirements
Diploma in General Nursing (DGN)
- Grade 12 or equivalent with minimum 50% in English
- Minimum of Grade C (Satisfactory) in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Good character and health
- Successful interview
Certificate IV in Community Health Worker (CHW)
- Grade 10 or Grade 12 (preferred)
- Basic English literacy and numeracy
- Interest in community service
- Good character and health

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I apply for both programs?
Yes. Applicants may apply for either the Diploma in General Nursing (DGN) or the Certificate IV in Community Health Worker (CHW), depending on their qualifications and eligibility requirements. Applicants should submit the appropriate application form for the program they are applying for.
Is accommodation available for students?
Yes. RSON provides safe and affordable accommodation for both male and female students within the campus community. The school has separate male and female dormitory facilities.
Do you offer scholarships?
Scholarships and financial assistance may be available subject to funding, sponsorship arrangements and eligibility. Applicants are encouraged to contact the RSON Admissions Office for information about current scholarship or sponsorship opportunities.
Can international students apply?
International applicants may enquire about admission to RSON. Applications are subject to the relevant entry requirements, documentation, availability of places and applicable school and regulatory requirements. International applicants should contact the Admissions Office before applying to confirm eligibility and application requirements.
What happens if I miss the closing date?
Applicants who miss the application closing date should contact the Admissions Office as soon as possible. Late applications may only be considered if places are still available and the school permits late applications. Admission is not guaranteed after the closing date.
